ABOUT US

About Hakron Specialist Care Center

Hakron Specialist Care Center stands as a compassionate leader in rehabilitation and treatment, known across Lagos for delivering personalized, evidence-based care that drives measurable recovery. We combine medical oversight, psychiatric expertise, and clinical psychology to build rehab programs that engender lasting recovery. We design individualized pathways that address physical withdrawal, mental health needs, family dynamics, and the practical skills required to reintegrate into everyday life. Our core services—Alcohol & Substance Use Treatment, Mental Health Treatment, Psychological & Counselling Services, Inpatient Detox, the Adult Psychiatric Program, and discreet Patient Pick-Up Service—are woven into cohesive rehab programs that prioritize safety, confidentiality, and long-term recovery.

Our Story

In 2010, Dr. Adeyemi Akeem — a Nigeria-trained psychiatrist—returned from a global mental health summit determined to bridge a critical gap he had witnessed: fragmented care that treated symptoms without nurturing the whole person. Drawing on his experience in community psychiatry, he opened Hakron Specialist Care Center in a converted colonial cottage.

Mission

To promote healing through compassionate, person-centered care, empowering individuals and families on their path to recovery.

Core Values

Treatment Philosophy

Every client receives an individualized treatment plan—no two journeys look exactly the same.

We combine medical detox, individual therapy, group counseling, family education, and complementary therapies (e.g., yoga, art, mindfulness).

Our clinical protocols follow established standards such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

Beyond eliminating substances, we address emotional healing, life skills, vocational guidance, and post-treatment support to reduce relapse.

We offer regular family workshops, educational seminars, and counseling sessions, because recovery succeeds when loved ones are informed and empowered.
